So have you ever wanted to be good at something...

So as I'm sure you're aware I'm pretty bad at this blog thing. I've had it for probably over a year now and I don't hardly post any updates. I want to be able to write here consistently but can never seem to make it a priority. For those that know me this is probably not a shock as I'm not that great with my ability to communicate consistently...always so slow at returning calls, emails, Facebook messages, etc.

Anyway, I hope you are all doing well. Here's a little update.

Kathy and I have a lot on our plate (but who doesn't?) and are living life. Kathy has been going pretty hard with church activities with the youth group and 5-6th grade kids and is helping keep me motivated to work on projects around the house. Our Sunday school class is also ramping back up so she has been preparing for that as well. Seminary is still moving forward and she is knocking some things out and enjoying her classes on leadership and vision. She also works on making our house "pretty and fun to be in" which is fun to watch and see develop.

I've been working and traveling pretty consistently to Massachusetts which is fine but not great. This fall I've taken on the responsibility and privilege of being a team member for an Emmaus Walk. It is pretty exciting to work with team of guys focused on raising and encouraging leaders (future and existing) in the church. I've only been to one team prep meeting and I've already learned a few things and have been greatly encouraged.

I've taken on a couple of projects since I've last posted and one is almost complete and the other is a new process I will try to keep you updated on. The almost completed project is a 'built-in' bookshelf in my soon to be office. My father-in-law and I started it a few months ago and now I'm in the wrap up stages (hopefully it will be finished in another week or so). My other project is to rebuilt a generic Les Paul copy guitar. My goal is to completely rebuilt every component over the next year or so. I've never done anything like it before so I'll let you know how it goes.

My goal is to post more frequently, but really, I've said that before, but I can always hope. What's life without a little hope?
